Basement Contractor: Carbide Contracting

The Basement

This basement office was designed to transform an underused and cold area of the home into a comfortable and inspiring workspace. Custom cabinetry and open shelving create a clean, organized backdrop while providing ample storage for everyday needs.

To improve both comfort and atmosphere, an electric fireplace was incorporated into the design, adding warmth and making the space feel far more inviting throughout the year. A hidden door was also integrated into the millwork, allowing access to the adjacent space while maintaining a seamless, built in appearance.

The design was finished with the client’s favourite colour, creating a personal and energizing workspace that feels both functional and tailored to her style.

The Main Floor

This living room was refreshed to create a more functional and welcoming gathering space for family and guests. The layout was carefully adjusted to optimize seating, allowing for better conversation flow and improved use of the room’s generous proportions.

A gallery wall was introduced to add personality and visual interest, giving the space a layered and curated feel. The client’s favourite colour was thoughtfully incorporated throughout the furnishings and accessories, bringing warmth and cohesion to the design while maintaining a calm and inviting atmosphere.
