The Overview
This former fire hall was transformed into a welcoming community gathering space designed to feel comfortable, relaxed, and inviting for neighbours to spend time together. The goal was to soften the large, industrial space and create an atmosphere more reminiscent of a living room where people could gather, connect, and host events.
The Details
Flexible features were thoughtfully integrated into the design, including a hidden stage for performances and community presentations, a pool table for casual recreation, and an electric fireplace to add warmth and create a cozy focal point. The result is a multifunctional space that balances durability with comfort, encouraging both everyday use and larger community gatherings.
